On Saturday, the Fourth National Wulin Tea Fighting Conference was held in the Tea City Garden. I also went to join the fun and see what tea fighting was like, and I could also learn some knowledge about tea.

The venue was crowded with contestants and spectators who came to participate in the competition. I squeezed a front seat in the crowd and waited quietly for the game to begin. Four contestants wearing ancient costumes sat on the stage in sequence, and exquisite tea sets were placed on the table in front of them. The beautiful sound of the guzheng enveloped the venue. Originally, the matcha competition was held here. The four contestants took a few spoonfuls of finely ground tea and put it into a tea bowl, then poured boiling water into a slender teapot resembling a danlu bottle. Wait for a while, the contestants gently pinch the bottle body, pour water into the tea bowl, and then hold the tea, a tea mixing tool, and quickly stir it. The contestants were completely focused and focused on stirring and brewing Matcha. The scorching sun shone on everyone, giving rise to sweat, but the contestants still showed great elegance and composure. The referee, who was also dressed in ancient attire, walked onto the stage, carefully tasted and graded the contestants one by one. I also approached and carefully looked at the finished product: the tea leaves, which were originally mixed with dark green and light green, have turned into a green and enchanting green. This competition depends on who plays the foam thick and who wins the foam long. The mysteries of the tea ceremony are really vast and profound!

After watching the Matcha performance, I returned to the Green Tea Fighting Area. Here, two rows of tables are arranged separately, each representing a type of tea, such as Longjing, Biluochun, etc. Behind each table sat two judges, and three sets of tea sets were placed on the table. The contestants wore various ancient style tea suits and entered the venue one by one. They formed groups of three and orderly walked to their seats, then clasped their fists together, bowed to the judges, and finally saluted each other. I couldn’t help but be curious, isn’t it a tea fight? Why is it so polite? It’s not like a competition? The contestants have started to move. I saw the contestant first put the tea leaves into a large dish with a teaspoon, poured some hot water into it, waited for a moment, and then added some hot water. Then, after stirring the tea, it was poured into a pot, and then the tea was poured into a small cup from the pot. However, there was no leaf residue in the cup, which was really strange! There must be a filter inside. The contestants respectfully presented the brewed tea to the referee for their taste. The referee gently held the tea brewed by each contestant in his hand, carefully examined the color of the tea soup, shook it a few times, then sniffed the fragrance with his nose, took a small sip, and finally nodded lightly, carefully writing the score for each contestant. It is said that when to heat water, how much water to add, when to pour tea, and how much tea to pour all have their own considerations. It seems that making tea really has a lot of knowledge! Finally, I also watched the tea competition performances of black tea and oolong tea.

Tea fighting is not about competing for beauty, tea fun and elegant music, tea fighting performances, different and exciting!
